Most clients describe the sensation as mild discomfort rather than pain. We use topical numbing cream to minimize sensation, and most people find the procedure very tolerable. Sensitivity varies by area—brows are typically least sensitive, lips most sensitive. Many clients relax or even doze off during the treatment.

Longevity varies by technique and individual factors. Microblading lasts 12-18 months, ombre/powder brows 18-24 months, eyeliner and lips 2-3 years. Factors affecting longevity include skin type, lifestyle, sun exposure, and skincare products. Touch-ups every 12-18 months maintain optimal results.
Microblading creates individual hair strokes for the most natural, feathered look—ideal for those wanting to add texture and fill sparse areas. Ombre/powder brows create a soft, filled-in makeup effect with more definition—better for oily skin and those wanting fuller, more defined brows. Combination brows blend both techniques.
Initial healing takes 7-14 days. During this time, you may experience some tenderness, slight swelling (day 1-2), and flaking/peeling (days 4-7). The color will appear darker initially, then lighten as you heal. Complete healing and true color development takes 4-6 weeks. Most people can return to normal activities immediately with minimal downtime.

Most people are good candidates! PMU is ideal for those wanting to save time, enhance sparse features, correct asymmetry, or maintain beauty through workouts and swimming. Not suitable if pregnant, breastfeeding, undergoing chemotherapy, or with certain medical conditions. We conduct thorough consultations to ensure suitability.
You should avoid makeup on the treated area during the healing period (7-14 days) to prevent infection and ensure proper healing. You can wear makeup on other areas of your face immediately. After healing is complete, you can apply makeup as usual, though most clients find they need much less or none at all!
We take extensive time during consultation and design to ensure you love your shape and color before any pigment application. The touch-up appointment allows adjustments. While rare, if you’re unsatisfied, pigment can be lightened through laser removal or saline removal techniques. We’re committed to your satisfaction and beautiful, natural results.
Avoid blood thinners (alcohol, aspirin, ibuprofen) 24 hours before. No retinol, AHAs, or chemical peels 2 weeks prior. Avoid sun exposure and tanning. Come with clean skin (no makeup on treatment area). For brows, don’t wax/thread/tint 3 days before—we’ll shape as needed. Arrive well-hydrated and avoid caffeine the day of.
